Kindergarten
Quarter 1 (September - November)
Students will spend the first quarter practicing routines and procedures through activities related to Hispanic Heritage Month and Dia de los Muertos. Students will also learn to exchange greetings, ask and respond to questions about name, age and feelings, fall season vocabulary, numbers 0-20 and colors: yellow, orange and brown.
Quarter 2 (November-January)
Students will spend the second quarter learning about different celebrations and traditions like La Navidad, Januca, Kwanza, and other Hispanic holidays and traditions. Students will identify vocabulary relating to the winter season, numbers 20-40 and colors: blue, white, green and red.
Quarter 3 (February-April)
Students will spend the third quarter learning about human body being able to identify vocabulary relating to body parts, injuries and the five senses. In addition, students will learn about the spring season and colors: pink, purple and black.
Quarter 4 (April-June)
Students will spend the fourth quarter learning about animals and plants. Students will be able to identify vocabulary relating to farm animals, food, the summer season, numbers 40-100 and all colors.
